Layvin’s Story. A Future Full of Possibility.

Layvin Brooks was a kind, caring young man whose joyful spirit brought people together. He was funny, hardworking, determined, and a natural leader. He cared deeply about his family and friends, and he had a way of making people feel welcomed. Whether he was spending time with loved ones, enjoying baseball, or living the cowboy life he loved, Layvin brought energy and happiness wherever he went.

Horses, rodeo, baseball, and sports were important parts of Layvin’s life. They taught him confidence, discipline, teamwork, and the value of working toward a goal. He also understood that the best moments are often the ones shared with others. His love for family, friendship, and bringing people together continues to guide the work we do today.

Legacy Loop Foundation was created to carry those qualities forward for young people and families in St. Landry Parish and beyond. Through scholarships and education, youth sports and rodeo assistance, horse rides, mentoring, life skills, family gatherings, and compassionate help, we want young people to feel encouraged and know that someone believes in them.

This foundation is not only about remembering Layvin. It is about continuing the good he brought into the lives of others. We are building a place where young people can discover their strengths, families can find connection, and neighbors can come together with care and purpose. Every program reflects something Layvin valued: hard work, leadership, kindness, family, and helping others move forward.
