Opportunities That Help Young People Grow

Legacy Loop Foundation offers practical ways for young people and families in St. Landry Parish and beyond to learn, participate, and move forward with confidence.

LAYVIN BROOKS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIPS

Scholarships help young people pursue rodeo, baseball, education, agriculture, trades, sports, and career goals. We consider character, leadership, kindness, service, determination, work ethic, and a desire to help others, not grades alone. Layvin was hardworking and determined, and this scholarship honors those qualities by encouraging young people to believe in their goals and keep working toward them.

YOUTH SPORTS & RODEO ASSISTANCE

We help with the costs of baseball, rodeo, horse rides, and related activities so more young people can take part. Layvin loved baseball, horses, rodeo, and the cowboy life, so this program helps more young people participate in the activities that brought him joy.

MENTORING & LIFE SKILLS

Young people can build confidence through mentoring, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and leadership activities that prepare them for the future. Layvin was a natural leader with a kind and caring spirit, and this program helps young people build those same qualities as they prepare for the future.

COMMUNITY & FAMILY SUPPORT

We work with local partners to host events and offer compassionate help to families facing grief or hardship. Our goal is to meet people where they are and help them take the next step. Family, friendship, and bringing people together were important to Layvin, so this program creates welcoming spaces where families can connect and receive help when they need it.
